Vogue Fashion's Night Out 2012

It is one of my favourite nights of the year - Vogue Fashion’s Night Out. What’s in store ... All things fashion and beauty throughout London’s famous fashionable areas including Mayfair, Knightsbridge and Covent Garden.

Where will I be? Well ... the amazing technology giant Samsung are supporting VFNO this year in London tonight in recognition of how the fusion of fashion and technology creates exceptionally innovative fashion ideas and designs. Collaborating with shoe designing champion Nicholas Kirkwood for a special partnership, Kirkwood has produced two exclusive and stylish tablet cases for Samsungs brand new Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet. In celebration of the evening and collaboration I will be running around taking pictures and blogging from one of these incredible Samsung devices. My favourite thing about it - The S Note app. Using the app you can hand write all kinds of messages on the photos you have just taken. I simply cannot get enough of it and am extremely excited to use it all evening.
Samsung will be hosting a stage near Burlington Gardens on Bond Street tonight where you can catch live performances from AlunaGeorge, Jess Mills and Wolf Gang as well as a live talk from Nicholas Kirkwood at 8pm. Kirkwood will share his thoughts on the role of technology in the fashion industry, his future collaborations and how he uses the Samsung Glalaxy Note 10.1 Tablet for work. A separate tent will be set up to show customers how to use it too!

Other places worth a visit, and places I plan to venture to include:

ghd who launched their very own Air Boutique today to coincide with VFNO. The professional hair styling brand has created the world’s first socially powered beauty experience where fans will be able to interact via Facebook and Twitter to make decisions on where the boutique will travel to after London and participate in live Q&A’s with the hair styling team. This evening the ghd team will be on hand to offer blow dry’s as well as model castings from Select Model Management who will be seeking a new model to sign to the agency. You can tweet or Facebook to book an appointment. Pampering social media madness – I love it and I will be there.
Catch a live band performance at 8pm in the Burberry store on Bond Street while you sip lovely cocktails. Then celebrate ‘Burberry Art of Trench’ by submitting images of yourselves in a Burberry trench to win the opportunity to be featured on screens across the globe during the night. Visit Mulberry’s Bond Street store for more live music, prizes and goodie bags from 8pm following a private star-studded dinner hosted by the lovely Emma Hill and Alexandra Shulman from Vogue.

Dance the night away in DKNY to The Voguettes who will be djing between 6 and 9 while prosecco is served throughout the night. DKNY have also partnered with butter LONDON who will be painting custom DKNY inspired nail art for customers who spend over £50 today. Kurt Geiger over on South Molten Street will be offering guests the chance to win all the shoes and accessories featured in their AW12 ad campaign (an absolute dream) as well as nail art from WAH nails. Penhaligon’s stores will be offering customers a 15% discount during the evening, a free Library Scent with purchases over £100, and they will continue to celebrate the launch of the beautiful fragrance Peoneve with cocktails during the evening.

If Mayfair doesn’t float your boat, head over to Covent Garden where Chanel will be hosting beauty vending machines offering 3 exclusive Le Vernis nail varnishes that launched today! While you are there pop in to Kate Spade New York as they will be hosting lots of fun activities in their gorgeous store from 6.30pm-9.30pm including a DJ set from Irina Lazareanu, a vintage ice cream cart and prosecco will be served throughout the evening.

Enjoy my fellow fashionistas and I look forward to seeing many of you this evening xoxo

Bee Lovely from Neal's Yard Remedies

Last month I popped down to the garden party launch of the extended 'Bee Lovely' range by Neal's Yard Remedies and what a lovely affair it was.

Starting with the original Bee Lovely Hand Cream, the collection now has a Bath and Shower Gel, a Body Lotion, a Hand Wash and my personal favourite, a Lip Balm. Made with moisturising organic honey and energising orange and mandarin essential oils, each product bursts with a powerful gorgeous scent. After testing the shower gel, the lotion and the balm I fell in love - my skin felt soft and I could not get enough of the smell.
Neal's Yard Remedies has partnered its Bee Lovely collection with the Help Save the Bees campaign which missions to do as its titled by donating 5% of each sale going to a bee loving charity. Another reason to fall in love with the collection.

You can learn more about the Bee Lovely and the Help Save the Bees campaign here and purchase products from the collection here. Prices start at £6.50.

Peony Perfection from Penhaligon's

My first encounter with Penhaligon's was when I discovered the Elizabethan Rose fragrance. Since then I have been hooked, eagerly awaiting the arrival of each highly anticipated scent. This year I've found my new favourite scent and it is called Peoneve.

The new fragrance from Olivier Crisp is an exquisite portrayal of an English garden in the summer (well that one week of summer that we get each year) filled with peonies at the heart, surrounded by hundreds of pretty blossoming flowers.
With head notes of violet leaf, heart notes of peony, Bulgarian rose and hedione, and finished with base notes of vetiver, musk and cashmere wood, this fragrance creates one very beautiful scent - one that I would recommend to all. It evokes thoughts of something pretty and calming.
The Peoneve EDP is available to purchase at Penahaligon's online and in store for £85 for the 50ml and £120 for the 100ml. If you are feeling incredibly inspired, pick up the fragrance and then head to Columbia Road for the weekly flower market on a Sunday. Take home some peonies, some lillie's or any other flower that takes your fancy to keep summer alive at home.
