The Taylor by Mulberry

As we saturate our wardrobes with S/S 11 trends, A/W 11 pre-collections are launched. One designer’s work I am particularly fond of is Emma Hill’s for Mulberry, and the new ‘it’ bag called the ‘Taylor’ is one for the wish list.
The ‘Taylor’ references heritage shapes and luxury hardware in a unique and lady like style. Mixing elegant countryside detailing and seasonal accents, with a rich colour palette of neutrals equals the perfect carry around satchel. Mulberry’s A/W 11 collection (see previous post) took its inspiration from the Great British countryside making particular references to bustling hedgerows and effortless English glamour, so the Taylor collection sits perfectly as the accessory to carry with the beautiful collection of clothes.
Taylor comes in three sizes, the Satchel, Oversized Satchel and the Mini Satchel made in soft matte or ostrich leather, and they are now available in store and online. With a celebrity following already, including Eliza Doolittle (pictured wearing hers at Coachella) and Rebecca Hall (pictured at the Mulberry A/W London Fashion Week show), it won’t be long until we see many more invest.

Wedges That Were Worth The Wait

Last year I scurried over to Pall Mall for Kurt Geiger’s S/S 11 press day (see previous post) and I literally fell in love with the collection. The colour palette is incredible and I have been since dreaming of my summer holidaying in Croatia and Ibiza wearing my favourite pair of wedges. The wait is over and they are now available in store and online to purchase for your holidays too! See below my hot picks for the summer:

Kuchina in pink by Carvela - £150

Gabriella in pink by Carvela - £120

Glitz in nude by Carvela - £140

Kennis in blue by Carvela - £140

Links of London Presents 'Entwine'

The excitement of the Royal Wedding has finally past and as a new found patriot (it was during the wedding I realised how proud I was) we Brits need something new to look forward too. Something just as amazing that will add to our heritage other than the obvious Christopher Bailey, Alexander McQueen and Emma Hill. Enter the 2012 Olympic Games.

Coinciding with the celebration Links of London have taken it into their own stylish intricate hands to create a stunning new collection inspired completely by the history of the Olympics called ‘Entwine’. Links of London have also became the official jewelers for the occasion.

‘Entwine’ is a beautiful collection inspired by the ribbons on the medals that are presented to the winning athletes and the history behind these. The collection uses twists and twirls of delicate gold and silver to represent the ribbons. The result is a striking assortment of gorgeous pieces that will make the perfect keepsake for any Olympic lover (or for anyone who just wants a pretty new piece of jewellery). The Entwined silver ring immediately jumped on my ‘must have’ list.

Launching one year before the 2012 Olympic Games begin, the collection is available to purchase from Links of London stores, and online this month. Long Live England, and Links of London.

I Heart Flowers

So after a long and stressful settling process in my new insider job, I am now back up and blogging. Backed up with blog material I take you all back to the month of April when England was cold and wet. Yes I don’t see the difference either.

To celebrate the launch of Carolina Herrera’s new fragrance ‘L’eau’, a fabulous cocktail party was thrown at a new events venue address on Great Portland Street. The decoration consisted of hundreds of flowers and butterflies that literally took my breath away. Designed by Simon Costin it was the most incredible display of flowers, reminding me of Mulberry’s beautiful campaigns. I made mental notes to head to the flower market in a bid to kit out my flat with my very own miniature version.
Making our way past the floral table display with mini canapés hidden amongst the flowers, we found the bar, a terrace and a DJ booth. The bar was full to the brim with gorgeous scented cocktails. The rose petal martinis and flowing champagne quenched my thirst, while the lavender cocktails scented out the room. As day turned into night the crowd partied and Daisy Lowe took to the decks spinning everything from Muse to Michael Jackson.
