Scent: From Saville Row Comes Sartorial

Men’s fragrances tend to smell the same to me, but every so often one scent will come along to which I find so enduring that when I smell it I can often be seen wandering off after the man who is wearing it. Is that weird? No it's not. There is however something sexy about wearing your partners aftershave though, no?

Anyway, having an obsession with all things new, I came across the brand new fragrance for men from Penhaligon’s, a store that when you leave you smell like an angel. Combining two great traditions of British men’s tailoring (enter Saville Row) and British perfumery the fragrance stands to prove a new generation of men. On behalf of all women we hope that is true.

The Penhaligon’s scent is a contemporary interpretation of a classic Fougère, with traditional notes of oakmoss, tonka bean and lavender the fragrance is strong and sexy. Like a man should be. It was inspired by the scents of the workroom at Norton & Sons, a bespoke tailor on Saville Row.
The new fragrance launched last week and is available online at Penhaligons and in store. The 50ml Eau de Toilette, £50 and the 100ml Eau de Toilette, £70.
To celebrate the launch of the new gentlemen’s fragrance Penhaligon’s has collaborated with British art jewellery designer, Tatty Devine. Inspired by the classic gentleman the collection features jewellery with a signature moustache that come big and small made from wood, acrylic and enamelled metal.
